Description And Objective

In the game of Baccarat two hands are dealt, the Player and the Banker. The object of the game is to pick the hand that will have the higher score. The highest score is 9 and the lowest score is 0. You can also bet on a Tie which pays 9 to 1.

Baccarat Rules

• Six decks are used when playing Bodog Baccarat. After each hand the cards are reshuffled.
• You can bet on the Dealer, Player, Tie or any combination of these.
• The Player will always go first.
• If the Player hand has a 0-5 total it will draw another card. With any other total it does not draw another card. Now play proceeds to the banker.
• The Banker does not draw another card if it’s hand totals 7, 8 or 9.
• The Banker draws one card if his first two cards total 0, 1 or 2. This table illustrates how the Banker draws cards:

Card Values

• In Baccarat the suits of the cards have no meaning.
• The cards 2 through 9 will count as face value.
• King, Queen, Jack and 10 will count as 0.
• The Ace will count as 1.
• When you calculate the score for a hand, you add each cards value and then remove the ten’s digit. Here is an example:
  *A hand with a six of hearts and a six of spades has a score of 2: 6 + 6 = 12 – the ten’s digit = 2
  *A hand with 3 eights has a score of 4: 8 + 8 + 8 = 24 – the ten’s digit = 4

The Player Can Win:

• If the hand bet on has the higher total.
• If the Banker and the Player totals are equal, and the Player bet on a Tie.
• Betting on a Player and winning, pays even money. If you bet $5 it pays $5, plus an additional $5.
• Betting on a banker and winning, pays even money but you pay a 5% commission. If you bet $5 it pays $5, plus an additional 4.75$.
• Betting on a Tie and winning, pays 9 times your bet. If you bet $5 it pays $5, plus an additional $45.

Note: Commission is 5% of the bet and it is rounded up to the next quarter. In other words, a minimum bet of $6 would be a 50 cents commission. 5% of $6 is 30 cents, but it will be rounded up to the next quarter so the commission will be 50 cents. (5% of $11 = 55 cents, which gives a commission of 75 cents)

The Player Loses:

• If the hand bet on is not the highest hand.
• If the Banker and the Player totals are equal, and the Player did not bet on a Tie.
• Betting on the Banker or Player and the result is a Tie. This bet is a push.

• Bet: You simply click on Player, Banker or Tie, and then you click the chips located in the lower right corner to have these added to the betting area. You can remove these chips if you click on them in the betting area.

Deal: Press deal to start the game after a bet has been placed.
